Ramona Wright is a serial entrepreneur. She has more than 15 years of experience in strategic communication and taught public relations and social media marketing at her alma mater Loyola Marymount University. Ramona is the co-founder of WeUP (, a social enterprise based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She's worked in the corporate, non-profit and tech sectors around the world and she's the fund manager for an apprenticeship program providing underrepresented youth access to STEAM careers.


Ramona has hosted and spoken at events presented by Google/RainbowPUSH, Microsoft’s Tech Goddesses initiative, LeaderShape, Howard University, USC, Fuller Seminary, Black Business Women Rock, and the Hispanic College Fund. Her commentaries, speeches, BLOGS, and creative works have been published in Black Enterprise, the Congressional Record, Journal of Popular Film and Television, and Going Supernova: The Bold Paths of 101 Superachievers.

In 2011, Ramona was named one of the "Top African American Public Relations Agents"​ by, and she wrote and produced a Telly Award winning Public Service Announcement (PSA) about homelessness featuring Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx and Ryan Seacrest. Also, Ramona was the founding publisher of Wiles Magazine (, a leading online multicultural women’s magazine


Her past professional experience includes work with Oxfam America, Sony Music US Latin, Reebok, the GRAMMY Museum, Georgetown University, Film Independent, Cialis®, Qatar Foundation International and the West African country Sierra Leone.  


Ramona's philanthropic work includes co-founding the annual MojaMoja Music Awards, an annual charity brunch & concert in its 10th year benefiting the MojaMoja Innovation Fund at Liberty Hill Foundation. Previously, she has served on boards and councils for the Media & Policy Center, Levitt Pavilion, & the National Congress of Black Women (NCBW).


Currently, Ramona empowers others as the creator and host of The Chair podcast on iTunes & Google Play. Many can relate to her because she was bullied as a kid, moved through unexpected professional changes, and has overcome personal challenges and hardships including homelessness and dysfunctional relationships.

Ramona lives in South Los Angeles but considers herself a global citizen. She is the proud daughter of an enterprising single Mother and the first in her family to earn a college degree.  Ramona holds an undergraduate degree in Film Production from Loyola Marymount University’s School of Film & Television and she is a Certified Integrative Wellness & Life Coach.
